Nominations are now open for this year’s Aurora Awards, and this is a quick post to let readers know that Books and Tea is eligible for the Best Fan Writing and Publication category.
In 2018, I ran a short series of interviews with Canadian spec-fic authors about their recently published works — many of which were debuts. For Aurora voters who are new to the site, here’s a rundown of relevant posts I published in 2018, in chronological order:
- A Talk with Ada Hoffmann About Monsters in My Mind
- Canadian SF/F Spotlight: “Hehua” by Millie Ho
- Rati Mehrotra Talks about Markswoman, Math, and the Mahabharata
- Spec from the Margins: A Chat with Anathema Magazine
- Kelly Robson Talks about Gods, Monsters, and the Lucky Peach
- Kelsi Morris on Myths, Monsters, and Fighting Marginalization
- A Chat with C.L. Polk About Her Debut, Witchmark
- Kate Heartfield Talks About Her Debut Armed in Her Fashion
- Unconventional Romance: a Chat with Claudie Arsenault about Baker Thief
- A Walk Through the World of Graveyard Mind with Chadwick Ginther
- A Look at The Quantum Magician with Derek Künsken
I hope you like what you read and that you’ll consider nominating Books and Tea for Best Fan Writing.
